Irfan Mirza, Voices of the Bosnian Genocide
Please join us on Tuesday, April 28th for the next to last lecture in the 2020 series on the Holocaust and Genocide at Sonoma State University from 4-5:50 p.m. in Warren Auditorium of Ives Hall on the SSU campus. Irfan Mirza, of Voices of the Bosnian Genocide, will be speaking on “The Genocide in Bosnia.”
Mirza was a Member of Board of Trustees of Voices of the Bosnian Genocide, a Seattle-based nonprofit organization devoted to raising awareness and educating the public about the genocide that took place in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the 1990s and the ongoing effects that the genocide is having on Bosnia and the world. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington D.C. The Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (ACBH) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the interests of Bosnian Americans and works to improve relations between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We know that his first person account of his experiences in Bosnia during the genocide will be moving and hope you will join us.
